A Memorable Collaboration with Vaachak at Symbiosis College
My journey with Vaachak began quite unexpectedly at a winter festival in Baner, where I first came across their remarkable collection of handcrafted art pieces. What immediately caught my attention was the uniqueness of every item on display — each piece carried its own story, reflecting the creativity, culture, and craftsmanship of the artisans behind it.
A few months later, I had the opportunity to reconnect with Vaachak when I was entrusted with organizing a stall for them at Indradhanu 2026, the flagship event of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce. Through this collaboration, I had the privilege of working closely with Priya Ma'am and gaining a deeper understanding of Vaachak's mission and impact.

The experience taught me that art is valued not merely for its price, but for the emotions, stories, and human connections it represents. Throughout the event, I witnessed visitors engage with the products not just as customers, but as individuals connecting with the narratives behind each creation. The conversations sparked by these artworks demonstrated how storytelling can transform an object into something deeply meaningful.
What makes Vaachak truly special is its commitment to promoting the work of local artisans and bringing their masterpieces to a wider audience. The collection showcased at the event stood out for its originality, craftsmanship, and authenticity. Many visitors expressed their admiration, sharing that they had rarely encountered such an exclusive and distinctive range of products elsewhere.
Being a part of the collaboration between Vaachak and Symbiosis College was an enriching experience. It was inspiring to see how Vaachak serves as a bridge between talented artisans and art enthusiasts, preserving traditional craftsmanship while creating opportunities for these artists to reach new audiences. The initiative is not only commendable but also essential in celebrating and sustaining India's rich artistic heritage.
